OT (R) NL
Jess is a licensed and registered occupational therapist in good standing with the provincial college and Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. She completed a bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics at St. FX University and a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University.
Jess has worked as an OT in pediatric private practice, residential mental health, child and adolescent mental health, and most recently, rural health. She has done post-graduate training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Childhood Trauma and Resilience, and Neurodiversity-Affirming Care, among others.
You will see Jess around the clinic helping with administration and management while things get up and running. She currently works for Eastern Health and Cloudberry Forest School, and hopes to offer occupational therapy services through the clinic in the near future.
Mitchell is a licensed and registered physiotherapist in good standing with the NL College of Physiotherapists and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from MUN and his Master’s degree in physical therapy from Queen’s University.
Mitchell was born and raised in Labrador City, then moved to Carbonear with his family as a teenager. After working in Alberta and Nova Scotia, he and Jess decided to put down roots in Carbonear and begin a practice of their own.
Mitchell enjoys fostering partnerships with his clients and working together to achieve their goals. He believes thorough assessment and communication are essential to tailoring an effective and individualized treatment plan. In his free time, Mitchell enjoys watching sports, hiking, and camping.
